[Mellow Habanero R] Heat 3

First released in 2005.

For the first time in nearly fifteen years, I am releasing a limited-edition sauce made with red habaneros.

These days, I can feel a slow but steady wave of hot sauce enthusiasm spreading across the world. Yet whenever I say, “Oh, I make hot sauce…,” the conversation still often begins with:

“What do you put hot sauce on? Pasta? Pizza?”

Yes. Exactly. This is that hot sauce—the one everyone pictures.

On meat? On salads?
Well… no, no.

I, the Habanero Man, went back to my roots and reimagined what a classic hot sauce could be. This is an old-school–inspired hot sauce crafted specifically to shine on pasta—like Japan’s nostalgic ketchup-based “Napolitan” spaghetti or hearty meat sauce—and of course on pizza.

“R” is made not with our usual yellow habaneros, but with red ones, giving the sauce its vivid crimson color.
And the label comes in a diamond shape. Red sauce × diamond label… Yes, it’s an homage to that iconic bottle found on the tables of retro Japanese cafés(Kissa) and Western-style diners.

Flavorful, properly spicy, and undeniably rich, “Mellow Habanero R” is new yet nostalgic—an old-school flavor elevated for today’s palate. The natural paprika-like character of red habaneros is layered with oregano and rosemary, bringing a familiar warmth into the modern era.
